| We dance in St Anne's Church Hall, Park Hill, Moseley, Birmingham Starting at 8.00. (The hall is behind the church, please park in the road). We have many single members so it's not necessary to come with a partner. You don't need to be an expert (all dances are walked through first) but it does help if you know your left from your right. We're a lively group but not not as energetic as a ceilidh Do join us if you would like to take up a new hobby in a sociable atmosphere You don't need to become a member but you'd save 50p a time We do a range of folk dances, usually English, sometimes Playford style, and some Scottish, American, Irish, International, etc. The callers are club and guest callers. The music is usually recorded but occasionally live. We hold two or three dances most months. No need to book - just turn up Friday Folk is a club run by its members. From 1978 to 2003 it was one of the many activities of Birmingham Inter-Varcity Club (www.birminghamIVC.org.uk) but is now an independent club affiliated to EFDSS. Tea/coffee/squash and biscuits are included. Photos of Friday Folk are at: www.johnpitcock.com/component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,59/catid,20/ www.JohnPitcock.co.uk |
